Influencer Marketing And Photography Campaign
In 2017 we partnered with the world’s leading polar exploration company, One Ocean Expeditions, to showcase the landscapes and wildlife of Antarctica, and what it’s like to travel to the region as part of one of the company’s high-end expeditions.
We travelled to Antarctica to photograph and create videos of the experience, and documented the trip in 12 detailed blog posts published on our website. As part of the deal One Ocean Expeditions were given access to our photography for commercial purposes, and they have used the shots to promote their tours on social media and their website, as well as with their tourism partners around the world.
Rather than create a commercial video, we chose to make a series of travel vlogs, which gives customers an honest insight into what it’s like to travel to Antarctica with One Ocean Expeditions. This unique content proved to be hugely popular amongst viewers, as well as the marketing team.
We negotiated a long-term, ongoing campaign rather than a single burst of intense online promotion, and this proved to be a successful decision, with the brand recognition of One Ocean Expeditions growing amongst our readers, resulting in higher traffic and sales conversions.
The campaign reached over one million people and generated thousands of pages views. With a heavy focus on SEO, many of the published articles now rank in the top position for their targeted keywords, continuing to send organic traffic and customer queries to One Ocean Expeditions’ website.
Proving that focused, bespoke and long-term campaigns are successful in influencer marketing, One Ocean Expeditions have partnered with us again to return to Antarctica in 2018 to document and promote a different journey they offer.
